The 575 KTM stretch

It was 6:30 Am on 11-03-2012 and Sathya knocked at my door. 7 Am we were having breakfast. 7:30 Am we were off to a 150 Km Journey.  A Journey to Experience MR.Sathya’s KTM.  It was a breezy Sunday morning and the weather was good. Took couple of water bottles, sunglass, T shirts and we were off.

The morning weather in Hyderabad was perfect and the Journey was getting better and better as we hit the highway there were less people on the Road and less chirping sounds of the birds up in the air.

There are few things which cannot be captured by camera neither by the video lens it can only be captured by the innermost emotions of your mind. I can imagine what Mr.KTM (read Sathya) would have felt.

Made our first pit stop in some *$*&T&$R&$ Place for a cup of tea. Then we hit the Road again constantly hitting 80- 85 Km/h as the bike should not go beyond the limit as the first service has to be done. Talking about the Bike the design is a perfect mix of comfort and style. Compared to other bikes the pillion ride is better on this one.
After about 45 minutes of so I felt a little uncomfortable sitting behind as it’s not a Touring bike but an on and off road bike. The weather was good for a longer period of time than expected. I could see people turning their heads to look at ME or THE KTM I am not sure though J both were looking hot.

Then the destination Dindi came and I have to say it was beautiful out of nowhere and the Dindi reservoir which I came to know about it later was nice. Then Mr.KTm said why don’t we go to srisailam another 100 Kms and we decided Oh Yes we will. We clicked few pictures which will become legendary later and we hit the roads again whistling past fellow riders and auto rickshaws.

So MR.KTM was riding the bike and I was just a mere pillion rider MR.KTM was super excited and he went past wider and thinner roads reaching a point finally MR.KTM decided it was the wrong road and we took a U turn and came back 40 kms, Yeah That is how far we went. So it was 80 + Kms wasted and then the sun took a hit on us. It was getting hotter and was difficult for both of us. He was feeling a bit tough to sit and I was having a very hard time to sit as a pillion rider.

After a few more pit stops to have water we hit the foot hills of srisailam and then we went up the hills only to realize the petrol bunk was closed owing to the fact there is No stock and in front of  the petrol station a guy was selling Petrol in a huge can what an irony Sirjiiii!!!!!
We rode and rode then we had lunch which was out of the world. Had a mouth watering authentic Andhra chicken curry and meals with its own spice and then we reached srisailam. Added to the misery the only petrol station was out of petrol. We hoped we will get the same illegal petrol while going back and Yes we got it A liter 90 Rupees

As soon as we reached we headed back because all we need was a ride. No wrong routes and thinner roads this time. One stretch we reached our favorite spot “The Truffles” Had dinner With Mr.KTM opting for Chargrilled chicken and I had chicken stroganoff. Ride back home was clean but was dead tired.

One thing I have to say my arse has not burnt like that in my entire life. 575 Kms was a tough one. Nevertheless it was a wonderful ride while exploring some amazing places.
